Summer Beauty Favourites

It's been a gorgeous June with the sun shining and here at Fiorelli HQ, we've been enjoying the Summer with some beauty treats which we simply had to share with you.

Origins It's a Perfect World BB Cream
Unless properly protected, with the sun comes skin damage, so we've been using Origins It's a Perfect World BB Cream with SPF 15 to keep skin protected. As well as being a moisturiser and SPF, it's tinted for coverage too - the perfect all rounder!

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist
For a refreshing sensation in the heat - look no further than a spray like Jurlique's Rosewater Balancing Mist. When hot weather can make skin oily - this is a simple and light way of hydrating the skin too. We keep ours in the fridge on warm days for the ultimate cooling treat.

Topshop Infrared Lipstick
As outfit choices get more bold and colourful in the Summer - we love adding a touch of bright lipstick. Topshop's Infrared Lipstick has become a cult product over the last couple of years and now we know why; the shade is a deep orange which compliments every skin tone - you simply have to try it!

Dolce Eau De Parfum
To finish your beauty look - add a Spring/Summer perfume, and our favourite has to be Dolce and Gabbana's 'Dolce'. It's a feminine fragrance inspired by the gorgeous island of Sicily. With a complex range of scents - it's like slipping away on an Italian holiday whenever we put it on! Plus, the bottle is topped with a pretty floral piece - we love keeping it in our handbags for an on the move spritz.

We've been carrying our beauty treats in our Harper Shoulder in Summer Mix - pretty neutrals which work with everything and raffia detailing for a unique touch. It's been reduced by 50% in our Fiorelli Sale with limited stock so get your hands on it here quick!

#FiorelliTravels: The Tessa Crossbody Hits Marrakech

This week upon our #FiorelliTravels, our International Territory Manager Amy took the stylish Tessa Crossbody in snake mix all the way to Marrakech, Morocco for a sun soaked holiday!

Marrakech boasts an impressive number of traditional cafes and restaurants, and so, a refreshing stop at a rooftop terrace in Marrakech’s main square was a must, where they sampled the locals’ ceremonial beverage of choice, a delicious Moroccan mint tea.

You’re spoilt by the choice of traditional cuisine to try out from tagines to puddings such as sliced oranges with cinnamon, sugar and orange blossom water, and that’s not to mention the numerous sweet pastries just like the delicious Pastilla, a pastry containing spicy, savoury meat and topped with a splash of icing.

It was definitely maxi dress and flip flop weather, which the Tessa crossbody sat perfectly alongside. Above, Amy went to visit the Saadian Tombs in the Kasbah part of the town, which was the final resting place of one of the Sultans that ruled the city, and some of his descendants too.

Near the centre of the city and the Souks, resides the Koutoubia mosque, which sounds out a call for prayer several times per day across the entire city.

As night time approached, the roof top bars offered spectacular views of the city, and the perfect spot to watch the sun set. This shot was taken at the Kosy bar, which was quite close to the Koutoubia mosque.

Where have you been taking your favourite Fiorelli pieces on holiday? Don't forget to share your own #FiorelliTravels with us on Twitter or Instagram, we'd love to see!

What to Wear to Wimbledon 2014

Get your glad rags on ladies, it’s time for centre court action, Pimms, strawberries and men in shorts!  Yes, you've guessed it, Wimbledon has returned for yet another year and here at Fiorelli we couldn't be more excited. Not sure what to wear? Ace the style sweepstakes with our Wimbledon fashion guide.

Image Sources: Shoes, Necklace, Tea Dress, Rain Mac

Transparent macs are the best invention since sliced bread. There’s nothing worse than spending lots of time and effort carefully planning an outfit just to have to cover it with an unfashionable parka when that unexpected downpour hits. Stay chic no matter what the forecast is with transparent outerwear teamed with a feminine tea dress, statement jewellery and peep-toe sandals.
And if the heavens do open, you could always swap sandals for wellies and store them safely inside a spacious Fiorelli tote.

Wimbledon are getting stricter with their player dress code policy this year and according to the tournament referee, any clothing which deviates from the ‘almost entirely white’ rule will not be accepted- ooh err!

Make like the competitors and channel those tennis whites with floppy hats, white vests and denim shorts or a classic midi skirt and camisole combo. If you’re going for monochrome then the Fiorelli Mani tote in monochrome mix is a spacious and stylish solution- you’ll be able to store all those Wimbledon essentials inside.

When it comes to all day events such as Wimbledon, you have to plan ahead. There’s no time to nip home in-between the Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal match to freshen up, so pack your army candy for the long haul.

Be it a nude satchel or post box red grab, step out in style with one of our signature handbags. If you’re looking for something compact, then, the covetable mini harper ticks all the boxes. Featuring a double zip compartment for on-the-go organisation and a choice of either grab handles or strap for practicality, it’s the ideal Wimbledon companion.

Whether you’ll be celebrating Wimbledon from your front lawn or Murray Mount, we’d love to know what you’ll be wearing. Drop us a comment below or tweet us @Fiorelli_Bags.

Sneak Peek: Fiorelli S/S '15

Today, we're giving you a sneak peek behind the scenes at our Spring/Summer '15 shoot. It may seem very early but with the design process taking place over a year in advance of a collection launch, we're busy planning upcoming seasons trends and getting all of our product shots ready for our Lookbooks and the Press.

We had a beautiful modern location in Kent, spectacular inside and out. As soon as we set our eyes on this fabulous location - we knew it was perfect.

The day started early with wardrobe planning, organising different outfits and make up looks for each bag we were shooting. We certainly enjoyed being around all of the fabulous pieces!

As the sun was shining it was a great opportunity for some outdoor shots, with an unusual mix of natural scenery and this industrial tower as a real contrast. Our photographer was shooting away whilst some of the Fiorelli team helped with improving lighting - including our very own Head Designer Lisa!

It was such a fabulous day, and we're very excited to show you all the collection next year. In the mean time, here's a little preview of what's to come with some detailed shots of the Spring/Summer '15 range:

For more sneak peeks, follow our Twitter and Instagram profiles, where we share live news and behind the scenes images. What trends do you think will be big for Spring/Summer 15? And what type of bags would you like to see in the collection? Let us know by leaving a comment below!

#FiorelliTravels: The Harper Purse heads to Miami

This week upon our #FiorelliTravels, our lovely Brand Manager Sue heads all the way over to Miami with her trusty Harper purse for a holiday filled with sunshine and shopping - every Fiorelli girl’s dream!

If you love being inspired by street styles, then, you definitely wouldn't be disappointed in Miami. The streets are filled with an eclectic mix of fashion trends, highly groomed ladies, and of course, less clothing is always more thanks to the scorching weather. Look at the cool rainbow dip dye hair Sue spotted!

The boulevards are a renowned shopping haven, lined with exclusive boutiques, featuring every designer brand that you could imagine, and everything else in-between. Look at these sky-scraping statement heels that we spotted in a palette of rainbow colours. We're not sure how far we could walk in these. What about you?

Miami is definitely a place where people like to make a statement from the clothes that they wear to the cars that they drive. It’s very easy to evoke upon a massive shopping spree there.

We couldn’t end our #FiorelliTravel post without showing off our Fiorelli arm candy. Sue opted for the Harper purse in White Cut Out for her trip. It was the perfect way to keep all of her essentials organised, and its white cut out design fits in perfectly with Miami’s cool and clean scenery, wouldn’t you agree?

Where have you been taking your Fiorelli bags? We'd love for you to share your own #FiorelliStyle photos with us on Instagram or Twitter

Our Favourite Poolside Reads

Swimming in Sicily? Island hopping in Croatia? Soaking up the sun in Sorrento? Aside from tasty arm candy and 3 pairs of bikinis, you’re going to want some engrossing reading material to get stuck into while you sip Mojitos by the water. So, get your poolside library sorted with Fiorelli’s holiday reading recommendations.

The Beach – Alex Garland

We can all relate to wanderlust, the thirst for adventure and the unknown. And this overwhelming desire to pick up your bags and head to an unknown paradise has never been captured so well as in Alex Garland’s 1996 novel The Beach.

You’re probably already familiar with the 2000 film version featuring a handsome and young Di Caprio and this beautifully written book will have you reaching for your Skyscanner app to start planning your next adventure. A classic tale of paradise lost and found that ticks all the holiday reading boxes.

Anybody Out There – Marian Keyes

This is one of the best books to read on holiday, nobody manages to craft characters quite like Marian Keyes. In Anybody Out There we meet Anna Walsh, a woman plagued by bad luck and misfortune. Pining for her glittery life back in Manhattan, we learn about Anna and her ex-lover through her memories of cosmopolitan New York.

Mysterious, emotional and laugh out loud funny in equal measures, you won’t want to put this book down.

In Her Shoes – Jennifer Weiner

Later made into a hit film featuring none other than the glamorous Cameron Diaz, In Her Shoes is a New York Times bestseller about sisterhood. The plot revolves around the unlikely pairing of two seemingly opposite women who eventually bond over romance and shoes. It’s a laugh out loud tale which will complement the Vitamin D induced happiness you get on holiday.

#4 D.V by Diana Vreeland

If you’re obsessed with all things fashion then consider D.V an essential read. Written by previous Vogue editor-in-chief and all round style icon Diana Vreeland, this autobiography is filled with glittery tales about Vreeland’s childhood in Paris, young adult life in England and glamorous reign as editor of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar in New York City.

Filled with brilliantly candid quotes such as “I’ve always been mad about clothes- you don’t get born in Paris to forget about clothes for 1 minute” fellow fashion addicts will fall in love this book.

What are your favourite books to read on holiday? We’d love to know. Leave us a comment below or tweet us @Fiorelli_Bags

Trend: Summer Nauticals

The nautical trend was seen across the resort catwalks at Chloé, Chanel and Rachel Zoe for 2014. It's a timeless trend which works with a multitude of outfits - in our eyes you simply can't go wrong with navy and white, along with some stripes!

With a nod to the trend, we've created some nautical inspired pieces for Spring/Summer 14. Our Francesca Shoulder Bag, is a classic with tan double handles and a cream and navy surround. For a cross body option, our Perry Shoulder mixes tan and navy with a quirky striped detachable purse and striped interior.

Prefer a one-tone nautical feel? Choose our Harper Mini in Patent Navy for perfect day to evening style, with optional shoulder strap.  Or how about our bright white Harper Purse, with a navy striped interior - it's a gorgeous statement piece. These would be perfect paired with sailor-style pieces as seen at Caroline Herrera.

As you can tell, we're real fans of the Nautical trend here at Fiorelli HQ! How are you styling navy and white for the Summer? Let us know by leaving a comment below or by sending us your #FiorelliStyle shots on Twitter and Instagram.

#FiorelliTravels: The Mini Harper heads to The Queen's Club

This week, we made the most of the glorious sunshine and headed over to The Queen’s Club in London to watch some of the Aegon tennis Championships, and our bag of choice? Our beautiful mini Harper!

Beautiful weather makes all of the difference when you’re watching a tennis match live, and we were lucky enough to have picked a lovely sunny day. With a great view of the court, we enjoyed several matches throughout the day including Marin Cilic vs. Marinko Matosevic, and Grigor Dimitrov vs. James Ward.

We also ceased the opportunity to do a little celeb spotting too, and managed to see Pippa Middleton enjoying the match. We loved her pretty summer dress, - it was the perfect outfit given the heat too!

The mini Harper was a really great bag to take along to the tennis, as it’s the perfect size to store your essentials (including a much needed bottle of water!) and keeps everything nice and organised thanks to all of its compartments.

Lunch in London: The Best of London’s Lunch Spots

Lobster and Steak? Artisan sandwich? From schmoozing clients to grabbing wholesome food in a hurry, this week we’re sharing our favourite London lunch spots. Work up an appetite with our guide to the capital's best eateries.
Grab and Go:

Absolutely Starving, London Bridge

You know those crazy days where time just disappears? Times where it feels as though you've been at work for 5 minutes but it’s actually just gone lunch? For those instances there’s Absolutely Starving- a hearty lunch spot wedged in-between The London Dungeons and a smattering of ritzy boutiques.

As you open the lunch spots pine green doors the sight and smell of freshly made chocolate tortes and lemon and poppy seed cupcakes will be hard to resist, but make your way over to the hot counter and you’ll be greeted with ready-to-go goodness such as seafood, sesame and chickpea salad or Egyptian falafel pittas with tahini dressing and hummus.

And if you do have extra time to spare there’s a loaded bookshelf and assortment of cosy seats to satisfy all leisurely lunch requirements.

Schmoozing Clients:

Classy lunch spots and modest prices don’t usually coexist, but at The Anthologist you can enjoy ‘reef, beef and bubbles’ (lobster, steak and champagne) for the bargain price of £15. This plush restaurant is ideal for schmoozing clients or impressing friends and light hearted touches such as cocktails served in zip-lock bags provide an interesting talking point.

Choose from tempting small plate dishes such as prawn lollipops and chicken satay skewers to more substantial mains like crab and crayfish linguine or perhaps a Peking duck sharing board?
Boasting a classic menu, central location and charming atmosphere, you’d be hard pressed to find a superior lunch spot.

Watching the Pennies:

More of a weekend location due to their ‘no reservations’ policy, Flat Iron is every steak lover’s dream. When it’s the weekend before payday and you’re supposed to be watching your pennies but still fancy a treat, Flat Iron is a saving grace. The concept is minimalist with only one main offered; steak and house salad for £10, but it’s executed so well you wouldn't want to order anything else.

A plethora of optional sides complement the meat and are reasonably priced with sauces coming in at a mere £1. The miniature butchers cleaver cutlery and free popcorn served in enamel mugs are nice touches too. Altogether, Flat Iron offers the most flavoursome steak we've ever had the pleasure of trying, you will want to visit every week!

#FiorelliTravels: The Mini Harper Heads to Hong Kong

We love to share our #FiorelliTravels with you, and this week the team have taken the black Mini Harper on holiday to Hong Kong! So, read on for a sneak peek inside our journey!

At the beginning of our holiday in Hong Kong, we switched our heels for boots, and headed up into the mountains of Ngong Ping, which was a lot of fun as we opted for a cable car to get us up to the top!

The weather wasn't the best, and it did rain a little but that didn't stop us from enjoying the beautiful scenery and sites such as the Buddha and temple gate. There was also lots of great natural wildlife to see too, from beautiful cows just grazing around the streets to frogs dancing in the rain!

It’s always great to experience all of the natural beauty and spectacular sites that a foreign country has to offer but it’s also just as fun to check out its other attractions too. So, we headed for the cable car again and went up to the Ocean Park theme Park, where we tested out the roller coasters (with the best views, we might add!), and enjoyed its water shows featuring dolphins and seals.

As night time approached, we felt that it was only fair to check out the night life too! So, with our mini Harper in hand, we headed over to the International Commerce Centre’s (ICC) skyscraper, or to you and me, the world’s highest hotel! It boasts the best views, as well as cocktails, which we soon discovered as we hit its beautiful bar.
