Fiorelli's #LFW A/W15 Edit

There's nothing more exciting for us than Fashion Week! From New York to London and Milan, fashion fever spread like wild fire. We must say, the atmosphere is unbeatable!

So, with that in mind, we bring you our favourite trends in both beauty and fashion.

#BackStageBeauty

One place to find all of the best news on emerging beauty trends for autumn/winter 2015 is backstage before the models step out onto the catwalk and the show begins.

Some say it's an art to create effortless looking make-up. The 'Natural Look' was a huge hit at Prada; subtle eye shadow, nude lips and a light coat of mascara. An alternative to this look as seen at the Giles show; bare lashes, Gothic black lips and and contoured eyes.

Lastly, our favourite beauty trend returns and we couldn't be happier. The strong brow or as some like to call it, the 'power brow' was all over the Christopher Kane show. This look is easy to achieve using a brow powder and set combo. Now is the time to say no to over plucking!

Clothing

Strong prints and simple black are undoubtedly two classic trends that are reinvented season after season and each time it gets better. We fell in love with Hakaan Yildirim's interpretation of feminine sexuality on the final day of Fashion Week.  A bold, strong shape and sexy lines in black? We think that might be the perfect marriage in clothing.

Finally, the Tata Naka show was full of contrasting prints, textures and colours. The attention to detail in the collection was undeniable; a truly unique collection.

Scandinavian Chic: Achieving the minimalist look

Fashion month always gets us in the mood for a wardrobe overall and whilst we’ve been watching the new AW15 trends prevail around the world’s most stylish capitals, it’s that enviable Scandi style that’s caught our eye.

Want to emulate that effortless, just stepped out of bed Scandinavian look too? Then, follow our top tips and invest in the staples that’ll have you looking Scandi-cool in no time.

The Colour Palette

Monochromatic hues are synonymous with classic Nordic style as a simple pairing of black and white is the easiest way to capture a minimalistic feel. Opt for staple pair of black leather trousers, a boxy white top and complement further with a pair of white heels.

Flats

If you‘re trying to master true Scandinavian feeling dressing, then a pair of flats are a must. They quite possibly became a Scandi wardrobe staple due to all of their cobbled roads making a pair of heels an almost impossible choice but somehow they’ve managed to make them cool. They’ve taught us that we don’t have to finish our outfits with a pair of heels to infuse our looks with an air of cool!

Borrow from the boys

Nordic style is famous for its androgynous vibe; be it the girls borrowing oversized or tailored pieces from the boys, or the boys mixing up their outfits with a feminine touch. Team a pair of tailored trousers with a shirt and oversized coat to get the look, and who knows maybe you can even raid your boyfriend’s wardrobe rather than splash out on something new.

Our Pick of the Most Exciting Female Entrepreneurs

If you've got an exciting new business idea and have secretly been harbouring a dream to go it alone for some time, then sometimes all’s you need is a little inspiration to take the plunge. So, why not be inspired by our pick of the most exciting female entrepreneurs?

Sophia Amoruso

Not many people go from college drop out to founder and CEO of a multi-million pound company, and all before even turning 30! That’s why Sophia’s story is so inspiring, she proves that academia isn’t the only way to success if you have passion for what you love and are prepared to work hard.

Sophia is of course the founder of the US fashion brand Nasty Gal, which started out as a simple online eBay vintage store. She has even written the book #GirlBoss about her path to success which is a must read for any aspiring entrepreneurs.

Holly Tucker and Sophie Cornish

This pair of entrepreneurs started their gift website Not On The Highstreet from the comfort of their own kitchen table when the two friends were inspired to create a virtual quirky shopping destination inspired by areas like Brighton’s lanes.

Their site makes it easy to buy a unique gift without having to leave your house and track down a quirky boutique. It’s the kind of idea that’s got genius written all over it, and has helped to turn their venture into a multi-million pound success!

Michelle Mone

One of the most famous female entrepreneurs around is Scottish Michelle Mone who’s famed for revolutionising lingerie. Inspired by attending a party in an ill-fitting bra she evoked upon the challenge of creating one that was comfortable enough to dance the night away in, and from that idea Ultimo was eventually born.

It’s really inspiring to think that despite her humble beginnings, she’s taken a simple idea put in a lot of hard work and is now a multi-millionaire because of it!

Dine Out This Valentine's Day With Our Dinner Date Ideas.

If you've left your Valentine’s plans to the last minute and are eagerly trying to find the perfect restaurant, then read on and let us share a few of our date perfect restaurants with you – whatever the budget!

Splash Out!

For some, Valentine’s is a big deal which means no expense spared, so only the finest restaurant will do. There are plenty of fancy restaurants in London to choose from and one of our favourites is Fera at Claridge’s.
The Michelin awarded restaurant is inspired by the constant changing seasons, which means that its à la carte menu also continuously changes depending upon what’s in season. Boasting the perfect fusion between creativity and organic delights, opt for a tasting menu comprising of 6 courses for £95 to ensure a little sample of their best picks currently on offer.

The Go-To

Although London’s relatively new Portland restaurant is ran by a team of highly experienced chefs, its price points won’t break the bank as there’s currently no main costing more than £20.

Expect dishes such as succulent wild bass or game, or you can even choose between three different set menus depending upon your budget. Plus, they also offer a select yet changing assortment of desserts that no girl can refuse on a special occasion. We’re a warm almond pithivier, please.

On a Budget

If you think that the most romantic restaurants in London don’t involve dining on a shoe string, you better think again. Now, of course we’re not directing you by way of your local greasy spoon but it’s true that it’s not necessarily the location but rather the company.

If you’re dining out on a budget and wanting a change from your usual mainstream bargain chains, then we’d recommend a trip to the Breakfast Club. Yes, it offers just around about everything Breakfast related throughout the day but it also serves up classic comfort food in the form of burgers, pulled pork sandwiches and warm chocolate brownies, or save those calories with a healthy salad. Nothing on the menu costs more than around £12.50, and all whilst soaking up the fun of this 80’s theme diner.

Where will you be heading on Valentine's day? Why not tweet us @Fiorelli_Bags?!

How To Ace the Office Style Stakes

We often neglect our workwear wardrobes by favouring our weekend attire instead but in reality we spend a lot more time in our office clothes than anything else. So, why not up your work fashion game by following our simple tips?

The Top

The key is to create an outfit that keeps you on trend yet still lets people take you seriously. You don’t have to opt for a white blouse just because you’re off to the office, so don’t be afraid to dabble with a palette of colours as you can always tone it down with your bottom half.

Remember that it’s the small details that can transform an otherwise boring outfit, so think contrast collars and statement necklaces to effortlessly infuse a touch of cool.

The Skirt

Finding the right skirt for work can be a tough one. You’re going to raise a few eyebrows if it’s too short or you’re going to roll up looking all Andy from the Devil Wears Prada if it’s too long and frumpy.

A-line skirts are still a big trend thanks to the Burberry catwalks and perfectly work appropriate. Simply choose between a below or above the knee style depending upon your silhouette, and experiment with different textures to set you apart from your straight laced colleagues.

The Bag

The best style of work bag keeps all of your must have essentials nice and tidy yet helps to transcend your look from day to night. Who doesn’t love investing in a style that’s versatile enough for a multitude of occasions?

If you’re looking for a bag that’ll suit your needs whatever the hour, then keep your eyes on our #Fiorelli24Seven capsule collection for some outfit inspiration be it for work or play.
